The belt in the stroller should be used, when the child is around 5-6 months, because at that age, the child starts to sit up, roll around in the stroller and get up. You should always secure the child with a belt in this age, when the baby is awake. When they are sleeping and are secured with a belt, you should always keep an eye on it, since no belt is completely safe.
A mosquito net is a very good idea, since it prevents insects and other small stuff from getting into the stroller.
