The 97 minutes long drama movie, "Alone in Berlin" from year 2016, is based on a true story, which takes place in Berlin in 1940. The two characters from the novel, Otto and Anna Quangel, are based on the true story about Otto and Elise Hampel. Otto and Anna Quangel are working class couple and after their son dies, fighting the war, everything changes. Otto and Anna starts to transfer their anger and grief into postcards with anti-Nazi slogans. They are risking everything to spread their massages and organize protests through the city. A police inspector will not rest before the guilty are caught.
