Works with any Hue colour-capable light
The sync box works with all Philips Hue White and colour ambiance bulbs or fixtures. Add up to 10 Philips Hue colour-capable lights to your Entertainment area, and then watch as each light individually responds to your on-screen TV content to bring your media to life with surround lighting.

Connect up to 4 HDMI devices
Supporting up to 4K, the sync box features one output that connects to your TV and four HDMI inputs that allow you to connect media devices, such as gaming consoles or streaming devices, to sync to your Hue system. The sync box detects which device is actively playing on your TV screen and automatically switches to it. Configure these and other settings in the Hue Sync mobile app or by using the button on the sync box.

Hue Bridge required
The Hue Bridge*, the heart of your smart lighting system, connects your Hue White and colour ambience smart lights to your app and the sync box, allowing you to customise and save your light settings when syncing. *The sync box is only compatible with the square-shaped Hue Bridge V2.

The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box requires an external HDMI signal to function properly. Any media input you want to use with the Hue Sync function needs to be connected to the Hue HDMI module, that then is connected to the TV. Examples of inputs can be a Google Chrome Cast, an Apple TV, Playstation 4/5, and other similar media sources. Even though your TV is smart with access to media applications, it can not act as a media source for the HDMI Sync Box. The HDMI Sync Box has 1 output connection that is connected to your TV, and then 4 Input connections so that multiple media sources can be connected simultaneously and switched between flexibly with your smartphone.
